When I was 27, I lost 100 pounds with basically with I guess a “dirty” 18 hr Fast most days and CICO. Then lots of exercise. I would drink a home made iced latte at about noon, eat a chicken breast with salad around 3, and finish the rest of day post 2 hr workout with a large meal.
Covid, a known weight gain psych drug I had to take for pregnancy/BF and then the pregnancy/baby, and I gained 60 back. I’ve been trying to get back to my old routine yet I am faced with extreme nausea when I take my meds. I’m 32 now, and I’m not sure if it’s age related or what. I’ve tried delaying my meds, but when I wake up I am faced with such painful nausea I get sick with bile coming up no matter what. If I wake up in the MOTN I experience this as well and have to snack.
I have a known GI issue called EOE but I had it back then as well. Anytime I mention this my doctor just says it’s probably heartburn and my condition causing the nausea. I am getting a scope done soon to rule out any major disease progression.
I feel so frustrated and can’t find a new system that works.
Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone found a workaround?
Answer
What’s in your iced latte? I wonder if that may be helping trigger your nausea along with your meds.
Have you tried sipping carbonated water? I find that is settling for my stomach. And definitely drink enough water throughout the day. Good luck.
Answer
Have you tried Metamucil or similar fiber supplement with the meds or in the middle of the night? That would protect your stomach and last longer than a glass of water, without revving up your system with a bunch of calories.
I used plain old-fashioned orange Metamucil and found it helpful.
