How to IF with gastritis?

I had a whole lot of success with IF a few years ago in combination with the gym etc. A whole lot of life got in the way and a baby etc and I’m just getting back to it. The only issue is that the period of not eating is triggering my existing stomach issues. Generally I do 18-6 in favour of a lunch and evening meal. Does anyone have any advice that has similar issues?

Make sure you break your fast with small meals. Large meals can cause reflux. I also feel like I got heartburn when I had an empty stomach. I took digestive enzymes during those times. I also kind of just powered through it and eventually it got better. I actually started IF to help my GERD/IBS not so much for weight loss.
