How to maintain/gain weight while fasting?

So I don’t really fast to lose weight as I feel like I don’t have that much body weight already as it is, but I fast mostly because I hate the feeling of digesting, hate mucous build up, and more so in love with the energy and mind clarity I get from being abstinent. It’s just that i also wanna maintain a certain amount of weight/muscle. I also don’t eat meat or most things relating to animals (dairy and stuff) so I’m guessing breaking with the lightest possible vegetables/fruits would be my best option but I was curious to see what some of you may recommend. Is it possible to fast, intake as light as possible, and still maintain/build muscle mass ? Like what do you guys think of those plant based keto diets?

Simply put, you can’t. Fasting is calorie restrictive and your body needs building blocks to grow/maintain itself. Try OMAD or a 20/4 IF schedule and make sure you get plenty of protein if you aren’t eating meat, if you want to maintain muscles.
