I completed a full week of IF

27, f, have struggled with weight and disordered eating most of my life. I got to my largest this summer, around 245 lbs. Im only 5'3" and never thought I'd ever hit 200. I have been around 180 most of my adult life. Always wanted to lose weight and have thrown my hands up, feeling absolutely helpless countless times. During quarantine, I just gained and gained. I'm realizing that the "put it off" method is my best tool with food and weight loss. Today was my 8th day of IF. I've completed 14, 16, 18, and a 22 hr fast this week because I was curious how each one would make me feel. For now I will stick with 14, 16, and 18 and leave the 20+ hr ones for further along in the journey!

We are in super similar situations!! I am 28F, 5’ 3” and hit my highest weight of 232 a few months ago. I was always around 180 (before having babies) and hovered around 190 after having kids. I gained a lot since the beginning of 2020. I have been doing 16:8 for a few months along with 30 minutes of exercise (low intensity.. usually just walking or jogging) a day and I’m at 204 lbs now. I can’t wait to be back under 200. Good luck to you!!

Yeah. The 20+ will start making you crazy (or at least woozy) especially to start. I actually did a 25 today after a Saturday night party and late Sunday brunch nachos (my whole approach as a 54M is just that I don’t really need to eat more than once a day anymore). Keep up the fight!
