I crash if I eat too much, or too many carbs OR too much fat. Something basic like eggs cooked with vegetables (2 eggs over medium cooked in butter with cooked cherry tomatoes and raw green onions, for example) is lighter on my stomach and energy levels than…bowl of oatmeal with nuts and seeds, for example. Portion control is a challenge for me but not an issue when I’m eating eggs for breakfast. Bacon is hard to overeat too (for me, 3 or 4 pieces is the most I would want at a time).
Try and break your fast with a light, high protein meal. I usually break my fast with a protein shake, then about an hour later eat a small lunch. Also, getting up and walking around straight after your meal will help prevent the crash!
Hi!! For me, I crash when I break a fast with too much food (very easy to do!) But if I break my fast and eat until I feel like 75% full instead of 100%+, I feel much much better and more energy 🤗 Good luck!
I would try to slowly replace the carbs you have with healthier carbs - by that I mean ones that have less of an insulin response. Even small things like switching from white rice to brown rice, getting more black beans instead of more rice, can make a big difference in my experience.
