No big deal. Every single person in this sub goes through an occasional bad spree like that. It’s nothing to be ashamed of and it’s not going to undo your progress.
Would it help you to build in some cheat periods? Maybe make a rule that every other weekend (or whatever schedule works for you), you’re allowed to eat whatever/whenever you want. It’s easier to power through the daily temptations if you know you have a break coming up.
That’s one of the best things about IF imo.
Say you’re low carb or low fat or Paleo or whatever random diet - when you cheat on the diet you feel awful and you have to build yourself back up and you feel like you failed etc.
With IF, sometimes you just get really hungry and you eat. A LOT. But then the next day just don’t eat again and voila, you’re back!
Or sometimes it’s a weekend or whatever. It’s just not a big deal because there’s no rule you have to fast every single day. It’s flexible. Sure you might not lose weight as fast as you could, or you might put on a few pounds of water weight. But it’s sustainable because you don’t have to stick to it 100% of the time to make it work.
Good luck!
Sometimes having some heavy cheat days are the method people use to break a plateau and kick start the metabolism. I hope you enjoyed it, don’t feel guilty, just start back up tomorrow. And ignore the scale for a week or two.
