Hi all, 30F here with a few questions about people who have been doing OMAD or another IF plan and are trying to conceive or pregnant.
Background: I hate eating in the morning. It makes me sluggish and I just don’t feel hungry. The first time in the day I feel hungry is usually between 1-3pm. I then feel hungry again around 6-10pm. So usually without really trying I end up with a 13-16 hour fast. I’ve had a few issues over the last year with unexplainable weight gain despite a low general caloric intake and a decent amount of activity and I’m trying to fix that as well as planning to try to start a family in the next few months.
Questions:
1) I was told that while pregnant and TTC any type of fasting is bad. Is this true to your knowledge?
2) For someone who has a hard time eating in the daytime what are your suggestions? I’ve been trying to eat but I really don’t like to in the day.

Purely anecdotal, but I just had a baby 2 wks ago and I fasted most of my pregnancy. First trimester I ate like every 2 hrs to keep the nausea at bay, and the rest of the pregnancy I just ate when I was hungry. I also did keto and have been for the last 2+ yrs. I had a healthy pregnancy and baby.
Did your doctor tell you fasting was bad? I would want to see actual studies and other evidence if that’s the case…
