All, I'm going to write here my experience with IF since I've started.
* Doing 16:8 Monday to Friday (weekends I have "normal" breakfast as it's a cultural thing here in Germany and I have two kids.
* I have a desk job and I feel more focused, I drink plenty of water a cup of green tea and a cup of black coffee during fasting.
* Training RPT style 2-3 a week when possible.
* I'm really enjoying the big meals, specially the lunch and dinner, I have a little snack in the afternoon.
* during this time I almost quit sugar and alcohol. I just reduced the alcohol consumption to one bier a week or so (never drank too much to be honest), I still eat black chocolate as dinner dessert, I'm a chocoholic.
* I have more time in the morning so I returned to one thing that I shouldn't ever quit initially and it's a good old classic shave as soon as I wake up.
* I will introduce some brief fasting walks next month.
As you can see I don't have any complaints about this, wish I have started like 10 years ago, I see this not only as a form of losing weight/fat but as well as it accommodates better to your lifestyle.

What is weekend breakfast in Germany? I would like to know please in case it is delicious.
Edit I Googled and must say I am a little disappointed.
Cold cuts and bread are the most common for a German breakfast. During the weekday Germans start the day with coffee, bread or rolls, cold cuts, jam and boiled eggs. At the weekend, many people add breakfast cereal, yogurt, and fruit.

I feel like your last sentence is the most important one to me. Its about lifestyle and changing our relationship with food. Weight loss is a great byproduct of that, along with all of the other things you named. Awesome job!
