I have a couple of autoimmune issues. I noticed that they really clear up during a fast but come back with a vengeance when I start eating normally again, no matter how careful I am with that I eat. I have done a few rounds of FMD so not water fasts. Autoimmune stuff is so frustrating. I’ve tried everything from RX to weird Instagram “cleanses”. Basically if I read that something helped someone I’ve tired it. No long term relief yet.

Update: feel much better now on my second full day since fast! Weird I just felt so terrible yesterday and today woke up much better and energetic, anyone know what this post fast malaise was? I’m thinking hard autophagy
I have the same issue. What helps me more than fasting was adopting a strict low-histamine diet. It requires a ton of research, and some of it is the polar opposite of what I’ve learned with fasting and eating low-carb (e.g., absolutely NO spinach, bacon, tomato, avocado)… But as soon as I started doing it, all of my symptoms ceased, my rapid resting heart rate started dropping considerably, all sorts of things started improving. Once that was rolling, I was able to add fasting back into the mix. But getting the immune system piece handled first was key.
