I recently learned about the paper towel analogy.
Losing weight is like losing 1 paper towel from a new roll. At the start you can throw away 10-20 towels until you actually see the roll get smaller.
The further you go, the more obvious it gets.
The last few pounds feel more like an improvement, than losing the first 100 did.
I bought elasticized waisted pants because I used to gain weight an inch at a time during the lockdowns. It was convenient to not have to shop for new pants if I wore elastic waist pants. Recently, all of them started falling off even though I have not noticed my stomach area reducing in circumference. I went down 4 sizes overall from last year but it looks the same. So, I guess that our bodies are reconfiguring even though we don’t see it?
