Introducing 6MAW

OMAD not cutting it anymore? Time to cut down another meal! I propose 6MAW: Six meals a week. Arrange them however you like. In fact, the more meals you have on any given day, the more days you get to fast for the rest of the week! Plenty of us already follow something very similar, but personally I have been wanting a term for it, so I made this one up. We all love our 48 hour fasts, but I find that if you haven't committed to at least one every week, then it can get hard to get it done. For me, I intend to do two 48 hour fasts this week, eat one meal on four days, and two on one. Keeping it strictly keto, and doing water-and-black coffee-fasts in between meals, along with a daily 15 km bicycle ride in the weekdays. Today is day one, and there will be no eating today. Let's go!

Answer

Think why the OMAD is not working anymore. What does it mean exactly? Longer fast from time to time is ok. 36 or 40+ are not too difficult in normal circumstances. How is your IF journey going? What are your stats? Maybe we could help?

Answer

There are countless people who post on this reddit that have lost hundreds of pounds doing “just” 16:8 or 18:6 fasting every day. If OMAD is not working for you, it’s because you’re eating too much during your one meal. That suggests an underlying problem that is not being addressed. Just not eating for a day per week doesn’t solve whatever that problem is.
