Is this a new thing or a longstanding distaste for water? I’ll admit I poked through your comments and you mentioned having been bit by your dog. I’m not assuming it is rabies but sudden/new hydrophobia could be a big warning sign.
Propel is basically sugar-free “gatorade but not called gatorade, literally it’s by the same company” right?
I’d be concerned about the electrolyte content if anything, and I’m not sure if 4-5 packets are going to be too much. There are other sorts of water flavorings you can buy (True Lemon, Mio, etc) which are just flavorings, preservatives, and colorings without bunches of electrolytes too. Are the flavorings/preservatives/colorings bad for you? I’m not sure anyone actually fully knows in a definitive sense yet.
You can count water from a ton of different things. Water in fruit and veggies count. Water in tea counts. Yes even water in coffee counts. Coffee might be a slight diuretic but the water used to make coffee balances it out. It’s not as hydrating as other forms but it doesn’t dehydrate you like many other people think.
The one thing I’d add to previous comments is to keep an eye on your blood pressure. When you start adding a ton of electrolytes (assuming you aren’t active enough to lose them via sweat) you may see increased BP.
Electrolytes are vital to your body’s daily function. Recommended daily intake is 1600-2000mg. At 380mg/propel you are well within that.
The idea that sodium leads to high BP at these levels is unfounded. I think you’ve found a great way to keep yourself hydrated.
it’s basically fine but i’m not trusting sucralose. i used to, but there is a cloud around it i think. i make my own with kool aid and stevia, and some supplements. i’m going to try monk fruit soon.
sometimes i include electrolytes but not if i am out of ketosis.
