First just want to mention I am a male started IF Nov 27th this year at 177lbs and today I weight 168.6lbs at 5’11.
I am doing IF for two reasons, one is to fix my insulin resistance and two is to get to 10% body fat by May 2022. I eat from 10am sometimes 11am, to 4pm, two meals with a fruit smoothie everyday. I used to get extremely hungry at night, it has gotten better, but now in the morning when it’s my meal time and I try to eat, I quickly don’t want to eat anymore and I know I need to. This is seriously hindering me from trying to get to 1500, 1700kcal. It feels like my body doesn’t want food anymore. I also want to mention I workout 5 days a week, 6th day I do yoga, I eat eggs, vegetables, low calorie bread, meat, oatmeal and a fruit smoothie a day. I have one icecream cup on the weekend.
Has anyone experienced this form your body, not wanting to eat? It just stated recently.
Answer
I do not like eating in the morning and I dislike most breakfast foods. Too many American breakfasts are nuts with what really are desserts. Eggs (yuck) and sausage are one thing but panCAKES?
My IF eating window is in the evening which may not be ideal but it suits me. I keep it low carb to avoid the carb hunger.
Why not listen to your body and eat when you are hungry at night and not in the morning?
Answer
Yes. I/my body is the same. I eat 1 meal a day (usually at 3-5pm ). My husband insists on meat at our 1 meal, but I heavy load on veg with meat as a secondary part of my calories. I could easily go 48 hrs no food. Imf is a wonderful thing :)
