Is this right for me?

I’ve doing the 16:8 for a few days now with a bit of leeway +/- 30 mins due to schedule conflicts. currently 160 and trying to get back down to 140 (was 120 pre-covid). The thing is I have had gastrointestinal issues (stomach ulcers) in the past and am starting to feel that again after a few days of IF… should i stop? can i take break days? if so how many and how long? I also go for short walks 30-60 mins/day.

I’m just going to be blunt: Fasting 16:8 isn’t causing you a stomach ulcer or a flare up of previous stomach ulcers.

If you had never learned that 16:8 is called intermittent fasting, there was always another term for what you’re doing… it’s called skipping breakfast (or lunch or dinner or whatever) and it’s not antagonizing your ulcer(s). Whatever you’re experiencing is either in your head (psychological, related to knowing you’re fasting) or something else is causing the issue. See you Dr. for confirmation.
