I’ve not dieted much in my life. I love good food. I grew up in an Italian family, and food has always been central to my life. Good food is a joy I don’t want to lose; it is part of being happy for me. Every diet that has had me cut certain things out, or limit what/how much I am eating, has me feeling like I’m losing something. It often made me feel guilty for my relationship with food. So I abandon ship almost immediately lol.
I’ve been doing 16-8 for a week now, and although I’ve lost 8lbs which was my initial motivation, what really has me motivated now is a) how much less hungry I am ALL the time, and b) how much more energy I have. I can enjoy quality meals, and feel no guilt. This fits my lifestyle.

That’s the beauty of this. You lose weight without really sacrificing much. And after time it seems to get easier and easier and you find yourself naturally eating what you want and need without worry.

I lost 80 lbs in 6 months with IF and what is even better: I control my food now and food doesn’t control me anymore. Before, food was constantly on my mind, and I had a tendency to overeat and eat when bored. Its gone now, I eat 2 meals + dessert every day and I feel awesome.
