Adding a word of encouragement for those trying out IF or OMAD for the first time. I started on my journey three years ago. I was 6’0 and 258 lbs. I snored and had zero energy to play with my son at the time. I struggled with confidence and ultimately just didn’t feel good/healthy. I started at 20/4 Monday through Fridays and began to walk on my lunch breaks. I started drinking water constantly to give me a sense of fullness. I got into hobbies and music and reading with my extra time not spent eating. Sooner rather than later I began to feel better emotionally and physically.
It didn’t take long to realize my clothes were getting big on me and people started really noticing a transformation. Ultimately I lost close to 60 pounds before arriving at a comfortable 205-210 range for my frame. Life was just easier with the weight off and I couldn’t believe it took me so long to start that journey.
With that being said, I kept the weight off for the last 2 1/2 years, but slowly relaxed my habits and ballooned up to 231. Starting today, not after new years, I’m refocusing my habits and willpower to do what I know I have the ability to do. Knowing that I’ve done it before gives me the confidence to do it again.
If anyone is struggling out there to not eat that next snack or stick to your plan, get up and walk around, drink 16 ounces of water, do something to take your mind off your temptation and take back your power. Know that I’m proud of you and have all the confidence that you can do it.

Thank you for this!!! I’m all too familiar with regaining weight I’d previously lost. I’m currently in this position now, actually… and like you, I’m finding so much encouragement in knowing not only that I can do this, but that I genuinely enjoyed the process of doing it and how good I felt fasting, moving and nourishing my body. I’m also telling myself that this part of the journey might have been necessary as a reminder of what habits I need to make a priority in order to continue feeling healthy and comfortable in my body. Best of luck, but you don’t need it because we will rock it! 🤗

Thank you for the words of encouragement. Yeah, I want to start up after New Years. For weight loss yes but mostly for not getting soo much heartburn. That being said I got some new jeans delivered today in the size I’m currently wearing and can’t zip them up. So for weight loss too!
