Finished a 9 day fast right before my period and I’m in hell. Between the very low cal refeed period and intense sugar cravings, mood swings etc while pms-ing and 6 pound weight gain in 2 days, making me feel like I did all this for nothing. I hope this all balances out , and yes I workout 2 hours a day fasting or not. It’s hard to plan fasts around hormones at my age of 48, much harder to fast and be a woman in my opinion. High fives to all the 40 and up women fasting 👏🏻

47F here and exactly the same happens to me around my period , it’s rubbish isn’t it ? This month I ended up caving and having 1 very high carb meal just to feel human again and for the next week I kept all the weight on, however the week after I lost double my normal amount . I’ve balanced out but it’s so frustrating and did make me want to dive into a bag of Doritos 😭
