Just starting out, I have insulin resistance so IF should help. Is it safe for me F(19)?

I have watched some videos on IF and alot of people said that it's not for teens. I'm F(19), 75kgs (around 165lbs) and my height is 161cms (5'3) Is it safe for me? Here are the reasons I want to try IF: - Want to reverse Insulin Resistance and Pcos symptoms - Want to feel more energetic - I am not a very big fan of physical activities, except walking other activities are really really exhausting for me and I have trouble staying consistent - My normal eating habit is I go 12-13 hours without eating, I do my breakfast late. So I think I can push it and easily do 16:8 Do give your precious advices, it will be heavily appreciated♡

Answer

What sold me on IF was realizing this is how humans ate not that long ago. 3 (or more) meals a day is a modern invention to sell more food. So, it is my opinion that’s it’s perfectly fine for teenagers.

Speak to a dietician and endocrinologist. As a type 1 diabetic, I wouldn’t wish this life on anyone. IF could help, but you likely need to get below the overweight range and change your diet. I wish you well.
