I recently bought a box of Frosted Flakes that left the milk strawberry flavored.
I joked to my girlfriend that Tony was having an identity crisis and has just given up completely. I worry for that tiger.
I totally get what you’re saying, but I don’t think anyone is going to watch that commercial and think, “OMG. They’re right, cereal IS way better than chicken!!” I’d say just laugh it off if you can and be glad you’re smart enough not to make those choices.
Also, Snickers was advertised as a complete nutritious meal for growing kids at one time. 🤷🏻♀️
This is worrisome. Cereal has too much sugar. I used to eat cereal for dinner from time to time as a child ans my mom would be a bit upset and would tell me that cereal does not have anything nutritious. Now rarely eat cereal
the earth is dying. we get a 10 minute warning when a bomb is hurdling towards us. more and more people are getting evicted with no where to go because rent has sky rocketed in the past year. let people eat frosted flakes for dinner. some people are having meth and sleep.
Being healthy isn’t about being perfect, it’s about making good choices regularly, knowing when to have unhealthy food, and how often/how much to have. Eating cereal for dinner once a week or month isn’t going to magically make all those carrots you ate disappear. Just don’t have it every day and you’ll be fine. Sugar isn’t bad for you, what’s bad is eating too much sugar. So have a fair portion and don’t have it every day. Cereal for dinner once in a while isn’t going to make you sick, kill you, or make you have nutritional deficiencies. But what it does do is take the pressure of making dinner off of a busy parent once in a while - which can be really beneficial to that parent’s wellbeing.
The families eating cereal more than the occasional night for fun, are families that can’t afford chicken, and vegetables, and entire meals… and are worried about even having options to feed their families more often than not.
This is a really tone-deaf and privileged af rant post. You obviously didn’t grow up with food insecurity or financial instability. Your comments are wild, maybe volunteer at a co-op to provide access to fresh foods in food deserts instead if you’re so distraught?
Welcome to the circus. Where you’re gonna be eating ze bugs, processed canola oil plant burgers and drink sugar free soda.
Kelloggs is one of the hundreds that have contributed to this human pet food world we live in now.
Best bet is to just turn off the TV, stop listening to the general media narratives about diet and nutrition, definitely do follow most government guidelines. You’ll actually live to 70 with mental capacity to function with.
Do you base your nutrition information on tv commercials? Sorry to break it to you but commercials is to sell more stuff.
I think no one in the world actually recommend eating kellogs cereals for dinner every day.
FDA updated it’s guidelines and is no longer saying cereal is a healthy breakfast. I assume this ad is a response to that and Kellog’s trying to change the narrative of their cereal being a breakfast meal to a dinner time one
