I’m a snacker too!
Here is what I have found - I love to sit on the couch and watch TV and snack…and snack and snack and snack.
But I will not eat in bed.So I now will watch TV in bed so I’m further away from the kitchen.
Worse comes to worse, I will chew gum.Is it now “dirty fasting”? Probably yes.But it’s not a bag of Doritos 🤷🏻♀️
Gotta pick and choose my battles
So, here’s what I have found. It’s hard in initial days but if you can stick to a schedule for minimum 4 days then it gets a lot easier as your hunger hormones shut off at other times. I found it’s more effective if instead of distracting yourself you endure past the hunger and by day 4 it’s usually a lot easier. I’ve tried having appointments and keeping myself busy and that has helped but for some reason unless I acknowledge and work past that hunger it doesn’t seem to work as well. I think once you can mentally control yourself over the toughest period then it means then you can do it at will, almost like exercising a muscle. Idk it’s just my personal experience
