Loose/Flappy skin

Hi everyone, like I wrote here (https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/comments/wrzwd2/what_about_after_fastreaching_goal/) I'm doing OMAD. And it's working really great so far. Today I reached a weight of 117kg (258lb). So I lost another 7kg in 2,5 months and in total I'm down 13kg (28lb). In my crotch, the sides at the top of my legs, I start or think it starts, to get some loose skin. If I touch it, it feels like skin and a bit of fat only. I'm worried. What can I do to avoid loose skin? Should I slow down on the diet?

Answer

There’s nothing to do to prevent loose skin from weight loss. Genetics, age, how long you’ve been overweight and overall health play into how much your skin can bounce back. The best thing you can do to help your skin is drink plenty of water and stay healthy.

A lot of people say longer fasts (like 36-48 hours) are good for getting rid of extra skin but I don’t know if that’s true or not.

There does seem to be a general consensus on the internet that fasting in general is great for loose skin though.

I just lost 50 lbs and noticed a lot of loose skin but after a week of not fasting a lot of that has tightened up.
