Maintaining a fast when going out?

My current eating window tends to be around 8am-4pm and I have a couple upcoming events where I don’t want to look too out of place - a club soda with lime won’t break a fast, correct? (Don’t laugh, I’m actually genuinely wanting to make sure!) and are there any other tips/orders that people turn to at events/bars etc. to help them stay on their fasting schedule but still “blend in”?

Can you just adjust your fasting window so that you can consume what you want to, when out? Yes, a lime will be considered a “dirty fast,” but it’s not that big of a deal. As long as club soda in unflavored, no problems there. I would personally either take the day off of fasting, or just change my eating window to involve the hours I’m out with friends 😊

Purists will say that technically any calories will break your fast but functionally you’ll be fine. Plenty of people do fasting with small caloric intake (5 calories etc) or sugar free aspartame drinks that trigger an insulin response and continue to lose weight just fine (myself included)
