“If you can control your hunger, you can control anything.” I love this quote and it definitely pertains to fasting, all types. My husband makes a full breakfast every weekend and man that smell of bacon but I know fasting is working and I’m healthy so I let it go…it’s worth the wait:)
Yup. Hub and the kiddo were eating loads of donuts 🍩 🍩 🍩 last night at 845pm. Got hungry after watching them trying every flavor in the boxes😞. I ended up frying 5 cups of cabbage w/ bacon and stuffed myself silly, clocking in to start fast at 945pm…
On workdays it’s easy for me. I just eat dinner and skip breakfast and lunch. Weekends it’s harder. He talks about food a lot, what do you want for breakfast, etc. At first I would just say I’m not hungry, or my medications are making me nauseous (true). Several times he would persist with the constant food talk and I would have to explain that I can’t eat like that any more, and I was close to 300 lbs, and if he wants me back to that weight to keep talking about food and/or eating in front of me constantly. Once I started IF/OMAD it became a lot easier to ignore him eating in front of me. Or I remove myself from the premises and go outside or find something else to do to distract me.
I don’t think he realizes I’m fasting, as I tend to do it when he’s not around and I still eat dinner. I don’t think he approves of fasting, he thinks I can just “eat small portions and exercise more.” Yeah like that didn’t work for the last 40 years so why would it work now?
I cook breakfast everyday but my eating window is at 4-6. Lately I’ve been considering early feeding time due to recent studies with etrf and diverse gur bacteria lime you’re getting a free probiotic. With food choices such as bacon and eggs it makes it easier to be on Keto as well.
