My goal is to fit into my dress

I did IF about 3 yrs ago, lost 20lbs but I was *so* depressed and even though I looked beautiful I still thought I was ugly. Now with some growth and therapy I’m trying again, but with a healthier mindset! Been at it for two weeks with 16:8-18:6. My goal is to probably lose close to 70 lbs, but the scale isn’t good for my mental health. My goal is to fit into this beautiful dress I’ve kept. I tried it on this morning, and it definitely didn’t fit 😂 but that’s okay! I knew it wouldn’t, it’s a M and I’m an XL currently. It’s my long term goal and I just wanted to share :) When I can finally get it over my head maybe I’ll share some photos!

I have jeans that are two sizes smaller than I am in now and a blouse I really want to wear in the French tuck (partially tucked in at the front).

I am half way to my goal and have been stuck for months. Weight loss is all mental and I have been very down about my lack of a social life and that has me stuck. I am so glad you recognized that weight gain and loss are a reflection of our mental health and sought counselling.

Congrats on starting! Putting your goals out there is important for motivation, I have done the same thing! I also have my “skinny pants” that I have kept and can’t wait to fit back in them! We got this 💪🏽

I don’t weigh myself, either. I have various size jeans to occasionally try on and I also have a dress I would like to get into.

The jeans I was wearing when I started, I had to get rid of, as I could pull them down without unbuttoning them. So, progress.

You WILL get into that dress!
