I started fasting to optimize my energy and while waiting for an ultrasound, I read [this](https://drjasonfung.medium.com/much-new-and-interesting-data-support-the-benefits-of-fasting-in-diseases-other-than-obesity-and-868a73734a63) article from [Dr. Jason Fung](https://drjasonfung.medium.com/). That new information convinced me to continue fasting and change a few habits:
>*In mice, they use severe caloric restriction reducing intake by 30–50%. Sure enough, the kidney cyst growth was inhibited...the applicability to humans is unknown...This treatment is free and available to everybody.*
My results:
**Ultrasound from 2018:**
*7 polyps on gall bladder with the biggest one at 6.9 x 4.6 mm.*
*Liver with a 15 x 12 mm cyst.*
*Kidney: Multiple cysts sized from 23 to 34 mm.*
**Ultrasound from 2020:**
*3 polyps on gall bladder of 3 to 4 mm.*
*Liver with an 11 x 10 mm cyst.*
*Kidney: Multiple cysts sized from 14 to 33 mm.*
This looks very promising but without knowing the error margin of the ultrasound equipment, the only thing we can conclude for sure is the stability of the condition.
This post is already too long but, here is what I changed in my life:
I have a good 7–8 hour night sleep. I regularly expose my body to various stresses like extreme temperatures, weight lifting, and cardio exercises**.** I am, most of the time, on a low carb diet **and** low oxalate diet. I do 16 to 20-hour intermittent fasting by skipping breakfast. I sporadically have breakfast to avoid body adaptation. I also have a 24-hour fast once a week. I stretch and meditate regularly using several breathing techniques. I no longer have self-doubt that could negatively affect the body. I quickly resolve any issues that could be bothering me mentally.
I wrote this article on Medium but I want to share my story to as many people as possible. This might work for other people but is it only due to fasting?

Amazing 🤩
I’m obsessed with the idea that a lot of modern chronic disease is from hyperinsulinemia and it’s inhibition of normal autophagy.
PCKD was one of the diseases that for me started on the idea.
Why low oxalates ? I’m sure it can help a lot of things, just wondering.

I would like to know too. My family has cyst problem all my relatives develop massive ovarian cysts that they eventually need operated on. I want to avoid that.
But, I had hoped fasting would reduce my uterine fibroids but instead they went up. But I can’t tell if that is due to hormones at the end stages of perimenopause. (so it could be temporary)
There is a new book out that suggests a theory. We all think that excess food / energy turns into fat, but what if it doesn’t completely or while your body is turning some of it to fat – the body has to deal with the excess and find a way to disperse it.
The theory suggests that the body may not deal with excess energy in POSITIVE ways. It may increase inflammation to expend the excess energy. It may increase cell proliferation to expend it. It could increase the activity of the immune system causing auto immune to get rid of excess energy that it has to get rid of because you are sitting on the couch.
I think that has some merit. Many diseases of modern life seem to also cause signs of excess in the body.
- Skin tags,
- Moles
- Uterine Fibrods
- Cysts
- Polyps
All are signs of excess and seem to go away with things that reduce excess energy - keto, calorie reduction, fasting.

Hi
Ultrasound from 2018:
7 polyps on gall bladder with the biggest one at 6.9 x 4.6 mm.
Ultrasound from 2020:
3 polyps on gall bladder of 3 to 4 mm.-—-
Did you have these removed or did they go away on their own?
