I just do 30-45 mins with my dog leading the way on “sniffari” 😂 the pace is moderate to slow. I have Lupus, so I have to be careful not to over so it or I could become seriously ill. I focus on completing my fast and maintaining my electrolytes. I feel good actually- not hungry at all, but I drink a lot of water and make sure to have an adequate refeed with lots of fats and super low carb. Not counting calories, just sorta eyeballing it. I think they call it “lazy keto” 😃
We’re you gaining 20 lbs a month to get to where you are? Don’t think so. Rolling fasts are great if you can actually do them. Easier said than done. Try to do one 48/72 per week to start and build up from there. Reality is 10 lbs to 15 maybe 20 the first month due to water.
You will burn around 1700-2000 calories per day. 3500 calories is a pound of fat. On the lower side 1700*30 days a month/3500 = 15lbs if you don’t eat anything at all the whole month. 17 lbs lost if your metabolism is at 2k. With refeeds weightloss goes down. As you lose weight metabolism down around 100 cal/10 lbs
Best way to start is to just start. Stop eating start drinking water. Don’t eat anything. Don’t think too much about it. All the bs you see about going keto for a week before to prepare or other crap people post on here “for preparation” is just another excuse your brain will use to bend your willpower into opening the fridge. “OH no I didn’t prepare so I should eat something and start tomorrow” you will hear it echo in your mind hundreds of times during the first few fasts. Maybe it really works, idk because if I had the willpower to go keto I wou7ldn’t need to be fasting. You won’t die if you eat dinner on Sunday and the next dinner is on Tuesday. Guaranteed.
No excuses.Just do it ✅
Try a 72 to start. See how you feel. Personally, I’m not a fan of doing 72s, and start feeling shitty around 60. I’ve found 48s were my sweet spot (but I’ve been slacking)
So yeah, see how long you can fast and what you find tolerable. And then maybe keep doing that length of a fast with a big meal in between (watch a bunch of cole’s vids, he gives different types of plans, whichever would be suited for you - meat/fruit, keto, not keto, in the morning, at night, etc) whichever you’ll stick to.
