New to dryfasting (my experience)

Hello all, I have done two 48 hour dry fasts and I have also in general cut back on hydration I was always taught that you needed to drink 8 cups of water a day and that your urine had to be crystal clear. On my first fast, I felt okay, a little tired yes but I guess I had more stable energy levels in that I wouldn't have energy highs like after eating or lows in the evenings. On my second fast however things were more different and it may be because I had already been dehydrated before I went on my 48 hour dryfast. Some benefits that I've noticed are that I would have a lot of acne and general skin irritation problems. A lot of that has disappeared. Also, my skin is so freaking clear, I mean I was looking at myself in the mirror and damn was my skin nice. It had this sheen to it. It's safe to say that I've become a disciple of dry fasting. On normal days, I now only drink water when I'm thirsty and from 6-8 cups daily, I now only drink 2-3. I feel completely fine. There is no constipation, nor is my urine dark One last thing to add; Dryfasting oddly enough is so much easier than water fasting. The cravings were much weaker to non-existent and I also did not feel cold which would happen on a water fast. I will do more fasts and report on my progress, cheers!

Hey man,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

I agree that the reality is we don’t need to drink anywhere near as much as what is recommended today. It’s kind of ridiculous how little water you can do really well on.

By the way, I’m writing an article on the benefits of fasting on skin conditions, do you mind if I quote your testimonial as an anecdotal account? It’s really brilliant!

Glad things are going so well. Looking forward to hearing about your future fasts!

I have planned a 7 day dry fast at the start of next month. Very excited!

Congrats! It’s amazing when you first find dry fasting and realize how we have been told so many lies about needing x amount of water when the body thrives on so little. Dry fasting has done wonders. Good luck on your journey!

I did five-five day water fasts in a two month span. I now feel confident that if I were to be in an emergency situation where I had no water or food available (I’d be okay). Just the piece of mind that I’d bring to that kind of situation would give me an upper hand. And I agree, we have been lied to about how many days the body can go without water and food. I’ve seen and read other people’s journeys through fasting and it all reassures me that the body is a strong vessel that is always working for us; if we trust, remain calm, get out of the way and let it do it’s thing.

Awesome! It’s crazy how little water I can function on when during and after dry fasts. I used to get dehydrated quickly when I drank more water. Now that I drink about a fourth of what I used too, I have yet to get dehydrated during this new lifestyle. It’s wild.

I agree, dry fasting is much easier than water fasting. Both are great though!

Congrats, love to hear about people’s breakthroughs
