New to IF

Hi friends I’m 6’2, 50 and current weight of 229. My gw is about 205. I’m doing paleo, working out consistently, and yesterday successfully did my first night of IF 16-8. The problem was I felt insanely hungry a half hour after eating dinner and was concerned I didn’t take enough calories in. Is there a place I can identify what my proper calorie intake range should be? TIA!

Wait, half an hour after eating dinner? Were you ok after lunch? What did you eat for each meal (and in between)?

Also yes, 1,500 calories for a 6’2” person weighing 229lbs is WAY to low. I’m assuming (for no good reason, sorry) that you’re a man (which would make it worse)?

Check how many carbs in the meal. If it was carb heavy, those buggers set off the hunger hormones.

When i did regular Paleo I tried to keep my carbs around 75-100 g/day. That seemed sufficient to keep irrational cravings at bay.

I only dropped to 20-30 g/day to work even harder on my insulin resistance.
