I’m only 7 days in but asked a similar Q a few days ago and the biggest thing that’s helped me and was recommended by Redditors is drink tons of water and include electrolytes in it. Definitely helps me.
I’m doing a similar regimen but I vary it depending on how I feel since I think that a certain amount of flexibility is helpful for me (while I’m sure others need more structure). Sometimes I fast for 16 hours and sometimes 22, depending on my mood. For social reasons I will also have the occasional brunch and not think twice about it. I do allow myself a beer in the evening (or even two!). I eat what I want but try to keep it reasonably healthy and balanced between macros. Basically how I would eat if I wasn’t dieting. My biggest indulgence is ice cream and I cut that out in practice while still retaining the option to buy no more than a pint per week in theory. I find that if you go enough time without indulging it becomes less pressing and it’s easier to keep not indulging.I guess my point is that you need to find something sustainable for you. It’s better to find something that’s less than “perfect” and keep at it than to aim for perfection and ultimately give up.The second point is to trust in the process and not worry so much if you don’t see immediate results. I just stalled for about a week but this morning I’m down 5 pounds in almost two weeks.Hope that helps.
My advice is to eat a protein heavy meal before your next fast begins. It’ll make you feel fuller, longer. Also, look for recipes online that you like and are healthy. I’m a sucker for all the bad stuff, but I was able to find some pretty healthy dishes online that I make regularly now.
