I know I was addicted to sugar. It took me a long time to cut back slowly to get off of it. I had cravings so badly, I would get up in the middle of the night and go to buy candy. I still have cravings, but I’ve largely substituted refined sugar with fruits and fruit juices, which are still sugar, but a healthier variety. Refined sugar tastes too sweet to me now, and snack foods I used to love are way too sweet.
