Hey folks, I'm KnifeEddiePeen!
I'm a 27 yo mom of one baby, four cats, and two ferrets. I used to be 216 lbs a few years ago and then started on a weight loss regimen (low cal diet and phentermine) when I was in a very busy time in med school (surgery rotation), so it was pretty easy to lose the weight---I didn't have time to snack, I was on my feet all day, and I didn't feel hunger anyway. I got down to 159 in about 8 months and loved how I looked. I was really feeling myself, living at my lowest weight since middle school. And then my husband and I conceived our daughter.
Unfortunately, in addition to overdoing it in pregnancy, I'm one of those women who gains weight while breastfeeding. A lot of weight. My daughter is now turning one and I'm up to 220 lbs with a BMI of 36.6. I miss that feeling of liking how I look and feeling confident in anything I wanted to wear. Now, it takes me a good hour to get ready--what with deciding on an outfit where I don't think I look fat.
About 10 days ago I decided that enough was enough; I miss having the energy to go up several flights of stairs without fear that my heart will give out. I miss that feeling of liking what I see in the mirror. I'm going to fit into those damn "goal dresses" that are collecting dust in my closet. In these past 10 days of IF (19:5 with OMAD) and going plant-based, I've lost 7.4 lbs with no plans on slowing down. Who's with me?
Answer
Sounds like you’re on the right track! I’ve been doing the IF (time restricted eating) thing since late Feb 2021 and am down 45 pounds, from 209. I also stick with 1200 calories most of the time. I eat far more veggies and fruits than meat.
Weight fell off fast in the beginning and has slowed to a crawl now but it’s still going in the right direction!
Welcome aboard, nice to share the journey.

You are on the right track so far.
Congrats for starting your journey.
There’s tons of info on the subs! I have been learning so much this time around. Great stories for motivation and loads of info.
I keep track of everything exercise, food intake, fasting time and my weight. I am a data nut. It has helped me lose 40 pounds since June. I do OMAD and various fasts of 24 48 and 72 hours.
Cheers to your good health and good luck!
