"Normal" BMI!

I know that BMI isn't everything, but last August I weighed 278.6lbs and had a BMI of 38.9, which is solidly in the obese range. This morning I weighed in at 179.0, which is a BMI of 24.96, and considered to be in the "normal" range. I am really happy and feel amazing compared to how I felt a year ago. I guess my point is 1) I'm overjoyed, and 2) this forum helped me immensely and if you're having doubts stick with it, unless it isn't healthy to do so, and also treat yourself with grace and forgiveness if/when you stumble.

This is awesome, congrats! I started my journey last week with about the same start weight as you. I thought my goal of 200lb was optimistic but you posting this solidifies that I can achieve it and it is realistic. Thank you for sharing! If you don’t mind, could you expand a bit on the details of how you got there?

Answer

Congratulations that’s a great NSV win.

The most important part is what you shared: be kind to yourself, basically. Keep putting they one foot in front of the other everyday keep trying.

Congratulations on your journey and success!
