It an inch or kind budged - nothing. Is too easy exercise my downfall here? Please comment.

Answer

Near GW, is a completely different ball game.

Myself and everyone I heard talk about it reported that weight loss stopped, and did not start again until they increased their fasting windows into the 36/48 hr range and some even mixing in fasts that are 3 days or longer on monthly or even weekly basis.

Weight loss is not linear. You need to be consistent over time to see results.

It’s also more challenging for us petites. Personally I find I get much better results with higher calories and more intense workouts. You can check out the Petite Fitness sun for more info. Again, this is just my personal experience but I found that there is a limit to my results when focusing on calories alone. To burn fat on CICO alone I have to go lower than 1200 and then I can’t hit my nutrient goals and don’t have the energy and focus for the other things I have going on in my life. My advice to smaller women is always to try upping calories, workout intensity and paying attention to nutrients. When you give your body what it needs it performs all its tasks more effectively. You don’t have to go crazy with the workouts. Mine are relatively short. I do a dumbbell routine 3 days a week, I walk 5 miles a day just because I enjoy it and I do stretching /yoga in the morning and evening to bookend the day.

I’m vegan. I focus on fiber first and then protein. My diet is pretty much all whole foods so I don’t worry about carbs and I make an effort to include fats as I experience better sleep this way. I no longer count calories. I’m mindful of things like nuts but I don’t count them out etc.

CICO is great in general but it’s not as simple as people make it out to be. At some point the makeup of those calories counts and those of us at the extreme ends of the scale need to pay attention to different things.

Another thing I see overlooked a lot is NEAT. This is the every day movement that’s not intentional exercise. It can make or break your success. Small things like how much you move when you talk make a big difference.

Tweak what you’re doing and continue to tweak until you see results.

I’m 50F, 5’4” and ~110lbs.
