Not losing weight and frustrated

I usually stop eating at 4. I’ve screwed up in the past couple of weeks and gained 6 lbs. I’ve been doing well for the past two weeks but can’t seem to lose weight. I’ve even gone to bed hungry a few times, but overall I’m getting enough calories. What am I doing wrong? I’m now 26lbs instead of 20lbs away from my target weight and it seems so elusive and hopeless. I’d appreciate some advice. Thanks. Edit: thank you all for the thoughtful comments. I think I might be underestimating how many calories I’m taking in. I’m also definitely not drinking water, so that might also have something to do with it. Thanks again all.

Whenever I’ve hit that same wall I always have to go back to how much I’m taking in; Water, Exercise, Food & Fiber.

Like other people have mentioned, you want to make sure you’re within range of the calories you need. Please also understand that the last 20lbs can come off muchhhh slower than the first 20.

In monitoring your water you’ll be able to ensure you’re not holding onto water because you’re dehydrated. 4 main electrolytes dictate a lot of body function; Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium, Sodium. You can add a pinch of each to your water (calcium probably through a pill) and some lemon juice and it will help with properly remaining hydrated.

I’d say if you’re not already; throw on an extra 30-45 mins of walking a day. The positives are abundant when it comes to knocking off weight and stress.

For when you do eat, try to get a lot of fiber into your diet. Fiber will help aid digestion and reduce hunger pangs. The better you can digest, the better you can do everything else. The improvements may be slight but I can assure you they are significant when compounded together.

Lastly try to do as much fun and stress-relieving activity as possible. Reduction of stress is reduction of cortisol and that can ease your body’s grip on the last 20lbs.

Hope any of this helps. I’m here for any further questions if you need anything.

Answer

Though I am a fan of intermittent fasting, ultimately it is calories in, calories out. If you are eating more calories during your eating window than your body burns in a day you will continue to gain weight.

Answer

Hi!! Are you fasting clean? If not, you’re not really getting all the benefits of fasting. Fasting clean keeps me from feeling hungry during my fasts, which allows me to have successful fasts & fat burning 🤗

Being so close to your goal weight, maybe your body is trying to build more muscle (which in the end will help you burn more calories) Have you tried taking measurements instead of relying on scale number?
