A little back story: Back in 2020 I dropped out of an online college due to getting stuck, not making any progress in my class. Pandemic stress really got to me, and the unhealthy eating habits I used to cope had me in a constant stupor, so my studies really suffered. I ended up spending an entire semester studying for the industry exam required to pass my class, and failed it three times during that period.
Now: I recently re-enrolled into college, working towards a bachelors in IT. Picking back up where I left off in the same class, it made me really nervous that I wouldn’t be able to retain the information. But I spent a month with the material, and did pretty well on the practice tests. During this time my schedule was OMAD and a 48hr fast every other week.
When I sat for the exam the other day, I was 23 hrs fasted after a 12 hr night shift at work, and at that point I still had doubts about if I’d pass. I even saved enough money to pay for a retake. But by halfway through I knew I had it because I felt so comfortable. I was focused, everything I was reading made sense, and I could recall facts easily. There was not a lot of distracted second guessing myself, so I passed with plenty of time left.
Being diagnosed with ADHD since the age of 12, I did well academically when I was on meds. But to have done this without them, I really owe it to fasting and proper nutrition for giving me a greater ability to concentrate and think clearly. It has motivated and encouraged me of what else I can accomplish.
Thanks for reading! Happy fasting!!
TLDR: I passed the test!

Great story. Congrats on your achievement.I tell everyone about all the benefits of OMAD of which mental clarity is a big one. Better nutrition plus OMAD was like a fog had lifted in my brain. It’s hard to believe until you do it and once you do it’s like a revelation.
Answer
I didn’t know about the mental clarity when I started IMF. (June 22) If I had heard about it, I would have scoffed.
But it’s true. I was stuck on the novel I’m writing for months, but things are flowing now. (Well, not RIGHT now, I’m on Reddit.)
