The moment that started my weight loss journey in October was when I put on a pair of sweatpants I hadn't worn in a little bit and they felt remarkably tight on me. They were wearable and still comfortable, but what used to be roomy, baggy sweatpants now felt a lot more fitted. When I tried them on maybe 6 weeks and ~7lbs later, they felt looser! Still tight around the thighs, but noticeably looser.
I got an IUD and covid at the beginning of december (epic two punch combo) and stopped fasting entirely for about a week and a half and eating terribly. Before that I was at 211, and over the two weeks I hit 217 and seemed to stabilize around 215 after I started fasting again. Since it's the holidays and I've got the world's biggest sweet tooth, I don't think I'm going to hit any record lows and am satisfied with maintaining, but I've still felt bad that I couldn't lose what I gained.
However, I put on my sweatpants to go on a walk yesterday and braced myself for the fit they might have, only to be greeted with even looser pants! They weren't tight around my thighs at all anymore! I weighed in at 217 this morning and have been feeling pretty discouraged, but that was a huge surprise. Curiously, I also hastily took some measurements today, and they were nearly the same as the ones taken before I fell off the wagon, despite the 6lb difference. I'd been weighing myself nearly daily since October and thought I had a handle on my general water/waste weight fluctuations but maybe not quite. Bodies are crazy.
I hope I'm not posting here too much lol, it's nice to be able to share this kind of thing to people who understand!
