So I’m trying 16-8 IF again and I don’t think I’ve ever stuck to it for more than 30 days but about to really take it seriously now. I’m on my 3rd day. I eat from 11-7. I don’t eat a lot in that window just lunch, iced latte, and dinner. Always balanced meals with dinner time having less carbs. If I’m weight training on a particular day then I have a protein bar after. I eat about 500-600 calories per meal, I’m trying to lose fat.
I’ve noticed that after dinner, I get gassy, I keep burping. I don’t remember if this happened on the previous times I was on the 16-8. I do get gassy when I drink coffee sometimes, not always. And it usually happens right after drinking coffee. I’m not lactose intolerant and I do cold brews which are supposedly less acidic. But this time it’s been happening right after dinner time. Is there a connection to IF? Doesn’t this mean indigestion? Would really appreciate thoughts.
I’m female 32 96lbs 5’3”. I’m aware I’m underweight, just want to get rid of fat and gain lean muscle before I increase my calories again. But would appreciate any insight as I am new to all this.

You’re underweight and you want to lose fat? I’d more strongly suggest you develop muscle and that way you body fat percentage would be lower. At 96lb, I highly doubt you really have much more fat to lose that would be even healthy to do so.
So my suggestion would to be do weight lifting, keep cardio to a minimum. And also if you are to decrease your body fat and increase muscle mass, you’ll need to up your calories.
