Good morning, IF!
I started IF (16:8) again about 2 weeks ago after gaining all my weight back at my sedentary job this past year. This past week, I've worried about my liver and over-did it with OMAD hoping to help my situation. My anxiety worsened throughout the week, sleep was not great, but I made sure I did my light exercise and stayed active.
Yesterday, I had a flight at 1pm, so I ate lunch (grilled chicken and zucchini) and drank plenty of water. I also drank plenty of water on the plane, but halfway through the flight I got a mild panic attack. My heart rate remained elevated, my mouth stayed dry, and my muscles hurt a little. My headache sucked. A few hours later, laying on a couch, I still didn't feel well. I felt dehydrated, but I had water...
Then it hit me: I haven't been supplementing the electrolytes! I didn't have access to a store or pharmacy last night, but I ate a banana and some Total cereal (hoping that it had some electrolytes), drank some water and went to sleep. Had no issues sleeping, woke up feeling normal. I'll be buying some powder electrolytes mix this morning and continue my journey.
Don't forget your electrolytes, kids!
Answer
Good advice! I’m a huge fan of electrolytes! I think they helped me to suppress my hunger and cravings. Do you want something salty? Take salt! Or rather salts, 3 in 1 or 4 in 1. I didn’t have headaches anymore, but before, I was very prone to them. I don’t understand why people fight this. I can understand if someone has medical condition and could not take salt but regular Joy or Jenny? Why?
