Open ended

So I recently tried a 15 day fast and failed miserably on day 7. After failing I took the day to refeed and have restarted for another. I do not plan on 15, more than likely a 5 day. Will keep you guys posted. - So quick update, Im at about 36 hours in, and I feel good. I drink more coffee now, and have had some zero calorie drinks. I figure I’m doing this for fat loss so whatever keeps you going is all that matters. Fasting isn’t a one size fits all kind of thing. I will attempt for maybe 4-5 more days, but if I feel weak or fatigued I will just add some full fat creamer in my coffee so I at least stay in ketosis.

Answer

Getting to day 7 on a water fast is not considered failing by any means. You have achieved what 99% of the general population could never have accomplished.

Take a break to refeed and start another one. To heal your body or to lose weight is not just about how long you can go on a single fast, it’s about making fasting a life style. You can do single day fasts on a regular basis and still accomplish whatever goals you may have.

You have already done a 7 day fast, now get familiar with IF or even OMAD. Use IF as maintenance plan and keep doing shorter 24 hour to 48 hour fasts to keep up with the good work.
