Parents…upset?

I’m 19 and going to Air Force basic training in 16 days from now (15 if you read this tomorrow or live in another timezone). I used to weigh 220 and dropped to 150. My parents have still never lost weight or had the time to. Now, maybe my dad had a shitty day at work and vented on me, but my mom kind of gave me her opinion as well. Obviously I don’t really care what they want me to do lol, I only have so many days left in my home, and once I’m gone I can do whatever the hell I want. Not sure why they’re making such a fuss now when I used to run 10 miles a day with trash bags, sweaters, and sweatpants in summer with no food or water. Complete dehydration. What should I do? I feel like they’re trying to threaten me with some dumb threat that honestly doesn’t matter now, but I really don’t want to spend my final moments in my hometown dealing with their bullshit over my own decisions. I have never been skinny in my life. I was always the fat kid, but now that has all changed. I’ll be 140 by next Thursday, maybe even less. I am incredibly proud to have lost all this weight on my own, and I don’t feel hunger or thirst. My throat is kind of dry, but it’s more annoying than anything.

Answer

It must be tough having your parents react that way. Please remember; it is not their fault (indirectly anyway), it is an addiction talking, food addiction. At least it sure sounds that way. People with addictions tend to act irrational rather than to think about their health and logically in general.

Good for you! Sometimes people are not supportive because they don’t understand the health benefits of dryfasting. Do you have the book The Phoenix Protocol by August Dunning? Have them read it. Tell them that you are concerned about their health and would love for them to extend their lives through periodic fasting.
