I know with me, my body tends to hover around certain weights that I spent a lot of time in my life at. For example, I spent about 6 years at 235lb, and when I fasted down to that weight it took a couple days to break past that benchmark. I don’t know the scientific mechanism behind it but I’ve spoken to others that experienced this.
I didn’t lose much weight during my first few days of fasting, however, I had a significant drop on the end of 3rd day (more than 3 lbs). The first time this happened to me, I broke my fast before the 3rd day, and I pretty much gained back the weight I lost. But every person’s body is different. I noticed my metabolism slows way down during fasting unfortunately and that’s why it’s so easy to gain it back for me. If I were you, I would try to push it a day to see if you will lose weight (that is only if you feel okay to keep going of course).
I said this on another post but I feel like you definitely start losing weight faster the deeper into a fast you get because of how ketosis works. Specifically I’ve done an 8 day fast where I lost little in the first 3-4 days then started losing around 1kg a day, although I don’t have too much experience with long fasts. If you feel fine I’d recommend to stick with it
The 3rd day is always where I lose the most weight. Stick w it. Also, weighing yourself daily is no bueno, although I’m guilty of it myself. It’s hard not to! Weight can fluctuate give or take five pounds on any given day because of several factors including water weight, menstrual cycle for women, etc. I highly recommend measuring inches lost as opposed to weight lost because you’ll see a lot of results there. Try doing it once or twice a week instead of daily. Hope this helps. ✌️
