I have started IF last week and surprisingly my body is able to adjust with 16:8 comfortably and was thinking it is too good to be true. And yesterday, I ran into my first challenge. I was invited to two parties back to back, ended up drinking 5-6 beers and eating a lot. How have you guys addressed this issue of maintaining a healthy social life with IF especially with Alcohol and pizza and fries and sweets.

IF is meant to be long term. Just get back on your proper schedule. I just came back from a vacation over the Labor Day weekend where I didn’t worry about IF (just tried to eat two meals a day), but I came back and got right back on OMAD. There’s not a wagon to fall off of, stop worrying.

I OMAD and labor day weekend didn’t worry about anything as it was also my birthday. Ate, drank, wound up at Denny’s at 2am… It took all this week to get back down to pre-weekend levels. Moral of the story being, IF is a lifestyle change and blowing a day (or weekend) won’t ultimately matter as long as you get back to it. Don’t sweat it too much and make sure to enjoy life once in awhile too. If you’re really trying to push weight loss you may have to be more strict, but saying yes to friends once in awhile isn’t a problem to me.
