Ive been doing if 16/8 for about 3 weeks. I decided to do a 20hr fast yesterday from 4pm til 12pm.
I drank alot of water during that time. Generally i drink around 2.5 to 3ltrs a day. Always loved water luckily.
When i broke the fast i may have done the wrong thing food wise. I was feeling a litte lethargic so instead of making something i had an up&go and belvita breakfast Biscuits. The lot came in around 430cal.
I found my heart started racing after eating
This isn't uncommon for me after eating, my digestive tract seems to enjoy a hightend blood flow. But it did last longer than normal.
And i feel quite lethargic and grotty
Any advice around what i should be eating after the longer fast
As it was my first 20 hour, im like quite unsure tbh.

Honestly, I don’t worry about a special diet I have to eat after a 20 h fast. After 3 days, I’ll break with something like bone broth, wait 30 min - 1 h, and then have a larger meal that is high protein, low carb.
Is it possible that you just ate too quickly? Since it’s your first 20 h fast, it’s honestly possible you scarfed down your food too quickly. I’ve made that mistake in the beginning.
