I’ve been intermittent fasting for a few years and have reached my goal weight & kept it off! In July I started a new medication at night, and I had the entire month off for vacation. I stopped both IF & low carb and basically ate whatever I wanted for the month, knowing I’d go back to work in august and just restart. Usually this isn’t an issue and I’m able to lose the 5-10lbs I gain in July pretty quickly. I started back IF & low carb on august 3rd and have seen almost no results. The only difference is the new medicine has a small amount of sucralose in it compared to my old medicine. I IF from 8pm-12pm, but I take this medicine at bedtime around 11pm and again 4 hours later. How much does sucralose affect IF? Could this be a reason for the weight stalling?
Answer
I’m skeptical that sucralose alone will do this. Can you ask your pharmacist if you could take your dose earlier? It seems weird to take a medication at 3 in the morning, so I don’t think it would be odd to try to take it earlier. But hard to answer without knowing your case, so asking Dr seems best here
