If you eat fewer calories than your TDEE, you will lose weight. Full stop.
If you do not eat enough essential proteins and fats, then the body structures and processes that rely on them will atrophy.
Hey, welcome to this subreddit. I hope I (and/or others) can help you.
If you only eat fat for one day below the TDEE, I think there will be no big effect on your body. You need to understand the role of the different macronutrients.
Protein is important for your hormones, muscles and body bc it’s used to build up new things. There are essential amino acids that can only be built or got through proteins.
Fat is also important. There are essential fat acids that your body needs. Also, if you only eat protein but no fat, your body cannot absorb the protein, you will die from hunger in the long-term. This is known as rabbit starvation (rabbits have nearly no fat but a lot of protein). The vitamins A, D, E and K are only available for us in combination with fat. So e.g. combine carrots with oil or cottage cheese or cheese or any milk product or something that contains fat. (Carrots contain vitamin A)
Carbs are a bit difficult. Some say, you don’t need them, some say, they are the most important energy source for our body. It’s true that our body prefers to burn carbs in order to get energy for training, moving or simply surviving. He takes that from glucose. Every digestible carb can be broken down to glucose in our body. On the other side, there are no essential carbs for the human body. So you can also live from fat and proteins. Your body then produces ketones for energy. The diet here is called ketogenic diet. Early humans used it automatically when there was no food. The big advantage is that you easily burn body fat (at least that’s the goal). Some can eat more carbs, some can eat less in order to feel good and be energetic. Carbs don’t kill your hunger. So if you want to eat something and don’t want a craving for food 2 hours after, avoid simple sugars without proteins or fat. Carbs need insulin to be stored out of the blood. Too many carbs can cause Diabetes 2.
I hope I could help you and give you some useful information. Don’t hesitate, ask me your questions, if you have any open left. :)
