Answer

Hi everyone,

I’m a hoping to seek some advice on how I should be eating on a day-to-day basis. Little bit of context is that I’m currently a 5’8 180 lb graduate student (23 y/o) who attends the gym 3-5 times/week. I’ve been dealing with a lot of fatigue and have been told to eat more for my age. I typically eat a LOT of fast food due to time constraints. Additionally, I’m not the one to fully constrict my food selections because I’m not looking for a shredded body and because i typically play basketball when I’m at the gym, i typically burn a good amount of calories. My question is because I’m dealing with frequent fatigue, I’m hoping to see if this subreddit would recommend some foods that might be helpful in decreasing this fatigue and upping my energy.

I’ve taken blood tests and my biomarkers are normal. Fast food consumption could be a factor since it’s fast food— I’ve tried switching to healthier alternatives like salad but it’s never consistent. Any recommendations to those dealing with fatigue and wondering how many calories I should be consuming on a daily basis? Thanks in advance!!

I (17M) want to lose fat, will a calorie deficit hamper height growth?

Like i said I’m a 17 y/o guy and want to burn some fat as I’m slightly overweight. Will eating in a calorie deficit hinder how much i grow height wise? I’m 5’7 and i want to grow as tall as possible
