Is eating way too much sugar (2-3x recommended daily amount) an issue if total calorie consumption is fine? I’m eating a lot of dried fruits which is where a majority of that sugar comes from and otherwise I have a very balanced diet so I’m wondering if that’s something I should consider changing.

Let me preface this by saying that I am a pretty picky eater. I mostly eat chicken breast, and pasta with red sauce for the majority of my meals, as well as eggs and the occasional fruit. Recently I have been eating “salads” consisting of spinach and olive oil and vinegar dressing. What other basic vegetables should I include in my “salad”?

Make ahead nutritious meal for repeated daily consumption or wishful thinking?!

Pardon the long post …Silly, I know, but I often think of this when I’m feeding my golden retriever… She eats the exact same meal, exactly the same portion, at the same time twice a day, and she stays in good health, good weight and the vet is very happy 😊. Her food is presumably nutritionally complete. Ok, so, on to my question: Is there a recipe/meal or (small) handful of “rotatable” meals that can be reheated and eaten repeatedly that could provide close to complete daily nutrition? I love variety as much as the next guy but would love to batch cook something on the weekend and just reheat and eat all week. It could be a variation of recipes each week. Not only for convenience but also for weight loss. I don’t want to subscribe to meal kit services, and would rather not spend the money on weight loss prepared food delivery programs unless I have to. I did several months of CICO and IF last year with good results and the idea here is the same, just more convenient. I’d love to not have to think about what to eat during the week and just know what my daily calorie count will be. When it comes to preferences, I tend to rely heavily on the convenience, taste, and variety of applications of ground beef as a protein. I’m not big on seafood (canned tuna is fine/uncomplicated). I dislike the taste of reheated chicken. I’ve made and enjoyed, for example, something similar to a burrito bowl with taco-seasoned ground beef as the protein. I could easily eat something like that for several days in a row and maybe add a piece of fruit and a yogurt during the day, but don’t know what nutrition gaps this might have. I’d appreciate your advice/suggestions. Thanks in advance!

How do you guys deal with the tired feeling of cutting down carbs? When I cut down I cut down carbs to roughly 120g a day or lower. But I find as I get older I can’t do it like I used to without feel very tired the next day until I cheat and eat a lot of carbs. Any advice how to cut down without feeling very tired/sluggish? I find once I go over 150g I gain weight very fast
