Recommitment to IF!

Hi all. I started IF in the middle of pandemic, did great, lost about 20 pounds effortlessly. Stalled a bit, didn't worry too much, $%\^%$ menopause hit and all went to hell. Felt super discouraged last few months, but decided to recommit. Started pilates. Re-read Fast Feast Repeat. Shortened window, cut back on wine. Had lunch an hour ago, about to go to work, and am RAVENOUS :-)) even though it seemed a decent sized lunch. Possibly in my head ... Can't snack when working so I'll be ok, just thought I'd give you all a laugh! We got this! 2023 is our year. My goal is to need a complete new wardrobe by the summer. On the plus, I took a pic in underwear this morning (which I'm not posting lol) and its way better than the pic I took the week I started IF. Even though the scales says I'm only about 7 pounds less, body recomposition still holds good.

Just had to comment as I only started (properly) IF last week and I am truly struggling with Menopause. My friend said not to start IF until my hormones are stable but as I said to her. They have never been stable. Lol.

Anyway just wsnted to cheer you on.

I could have written this! I got the gift of menopause last year as well… it does seem to make it so much harder. I had been doing so well before! I’m back here to fuel up on motivation. It might be harder, but it’s not impossible. We’ve got this, right? 🤗

I’ve found IF pretty good even with the menopause, but I keep putting the weight back on so easily. I’m really putting in the effort to lose the 35lb I’ve been carrying for the last ten years. This time I’m doing 20/4 everyday, I break the fast with some houmous and vegetables then a healthy dinner a few hours later. I was really hungry by hour 19 for the first few days but sailed through today! I’ve lost 2lb so far - I’m damn well going to fit back into my jeans by summer!
