Not to be “that guy” but the track record of science is being wrong most of the time so it’s important to still remain skeptical. This statement kinda makes it sound like pick a hypothesis and if most people disagree it just needs more time to show it’s true.
Personally, the picture I paint for myself and for others when talking about dry fasting/fasting in general, is mother nature is smarter than all of us because she has hundreds of millions of years of trial and error on her side. So when learning about what is best for humans, look at what was normal for humans for 99.9% of the 2.5 million year history of humans. For 100,000 generations we did not have society with grocery stores and running water; we didn’t even have farms. We hunted and foraged, and drank when we were near fresh water. That’s the lifestyle that made us who we are before technology exploded. This modern lifestyle of eating and drinking something all day has been around for about 10 generations, with a boom in so many specialized health problems.
