I lost my first 18 pounds doing 16/8 for 25 days. It also helped that it was an immediate transition for me, and I was pushing 300 pounds. I quit all unhealthy foods and stuck to just 2 meals, no snacks.
I lost my first 10 pounds doing 16:8. You can always change it later if your body wants that change but I feel it’s absolutely within the parameters of losing weight and with you working out and eating lean, you should be fine with 16:8.
